The "sustainable management" plan of the French Development Agency sidesteps the issue of protection of the world’s largest 11,000-year old tropical peatland.
A second setback for the French Development Agency (AFD, partner of Monde Afrique): its "Sustainable management of forests" programme was once more rejected by Norway, which funds the Central African Forest Initiative (CAFI), at an 18 July meeting in Kinshasa.
