ENB+ Side Events Coverage

 

At major meetings, such as Conferences of the Parties, ENB on the Side (ENBOTS) communicates the key messages from side events, providing exposure befitting their important role in the processes IISD Reporting Services covers.

 

ENBOTS reports complement ENB reporting from the main negotiations, as side events have become “incubators” of ideas that have been subsequently incorporated into the official negotiations.....

In 2013, we integrated video production into our package of event coverage services. IISD Reporting Services' team of videographers and producers works alongside our reporting teams to provide daily videos, summary wrap-up videos, and testimonial and project-focused videos....

Belgium 16 April 2018. Ghent University, Department of Green Chemistry and Technology and Department of Environment officially joined the members of the Congo Basin Forests Partnership (CBFP). As part of the accession process, Ghent University submitted the required documents and agreed to abide by the CBFP members’ cooperation framework in promoting sustainable management of forest ecosystems in Central Africa.

CBFP Council Meeting draws delegates to Brazzaville (Congo), 1 June 2018

The roadmap of the Kingdom of Belgium Facilitation of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP) adopted, CBFP results-oriented governance underway with report submitted by CBFP college leaders, 4th CBFP Council meeting consolidates gains, enhances credibility of the governance reform and active preparations underway for the 18th Meeting of CBFP  Parties due to take place in Brussels from 27 to 28 November 2018.

FNUF 13-COMIFAC: The Congo Basin makes strong showing at thirteenth session of United Nations Forum on Forests, UN headquarters, Trusteeship Chamber

New-York, 10 May 2018 - The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Rwanda to the United Nations in partnership with the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) and in close collaboration with the CBFP Facilitation of the Kingdom of Belgium held a high-level side event at the UN Trusteeship alongside UNFF 13. The event was chaired by the Republic of Rwanda, which currently holds the Presidency of the Central African Forest Commission.

AfriquEnvironement-Plus April-May 2018 Edition: Congo Basin Climate commission and Congo Basin Blue Fund now operational

 Following the establishment of COMIFAC in March 1999 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, by the Central African Heads of State, the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the Congo Basin Climate Commission and the Congo Basin Blue Fund held in Brazzaville in late April 2018 ratified the institutionalization agreement of the two instruments. This was not only a true victory, but also a major challenge given that many other sub regional institutions still struggle to operate in their intended capacities.

UN: Promoting decent work ‘daily challenge’ in fragile countries, UN Labour Summit told
