FODER: Newsletter of the regional workshop on law enforcement and illegal logging in the Congo Basin

 

 

From 14 to 16 November 2017, a regional workshop on law enforcement and illegal logging took place in the Congo Basin, in Yaounde. The Workshop was organized by the CIDT within the framework of the Voix des Citoyens project (CV4C), in collaboration with Interpol’s regional office in Yaoundé.  The CV4c project is being implemented in Cameroon by three organizations including FODER.

biopama: Protected areas across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific boosted with €60 million investment

Gland, Switzerland, 28 November 2017. The European Union (EU) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States have invested €60 million in the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) Programme over the next six years – making it one of the largest EU biodiversity programmes. The programme is being implemented by IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.

GCF and CTCN strengthen cooperation on technology to support Paris Agreement

This is thanks to an exchange of letters signed between the Green Climate Fund and UN Environment, at the request of Parties to the Climate Convention.
