GCF: Invitation for Thirteenth Round of Application for Accreditation as an Observer Organization to the Green Climate Fund.

 In line with the Governing Instrument for the Green Climate Fund (the GCF) and the Rules of Procedures of the Board, the Co-Chairs in consultation with the Board, invite accredited observer organizations to the seventeenth meeting of the Board of the Green Climate Fund, to be held in July 2017.

 

 

 Following the GCF’s Governing Instrument and Rules of Procedures of the Board, which encourage accredited observer organizations to designate representatives to attend meetings of the Board, the Co-Chairs of the GCF Board invite civil society organizations (CSOs), private sector organizations (PSOs), and international entities (IEs), wishing to obtain observer status, to apply for accreditation.

 

 

 Applications for accreditation as an observer organization should be submitted by Tuesday, 9 May 2017, 18.00 KST (UTC+09.00) to the following address: observers@gcfund.org.

The Network of Indigenous and Local Communities for the sustainable management of forest ecosystems in Central Africa (REPALEAC), a member network of CEFDHAC, hosted a side event at the 17th CBFP MOP on Wednesday, 25 October, which drew over 80 participants from all sectors, around the topic of participation of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLC) in sustainable forest management in Central Africa.

The European Union (EU) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States have invested €60 million in the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) Programme over the next six years – making it one of the largest EU biodiversity programmes.
