This month the park's logistics department made great progress. The ranger classroom at the Bomassa headquarters was completed, providing an important space for ongoing ranger training. Boreholes were also drilled at Bomassa and Makao bases, which will provide a constant supply of potable water for the two bases.
This year the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park will, for the first time, hold its own 5 km "Run for the Wild" event on the 27th of April. Each year this 5 km run, organised by WCS, takes place through the Bronx Zoo in New York to raise awareness and funds for conservation. This year members of the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park staff, local partners and the community of Bomassa village, will come together for a day of fun and togetherness, running 5 kilometres for elephants, chimpanzees and gorillas... maybe even spotting a few on the way! If you happen to pass by Bomassa that day, feel free to join us!
The Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park is recruiting for the position of Law-Enforcement Technical Advisor. Please, could you share the Terms of Reference for this position with any potential candidates you know, and within your circles.
Finally we wish you all a Happy Earth Day, this year celebrating all the incredible species that exist on our planet.
