"Oh my God! We have never seen them like this before! "Aristide Kamla, a young Cameroonian researcher specializing in marine biology, is elated. Four pairs of nostrils have just emerged from the muddy water of Lake Ossa. For seven years, this passionate young man has been tracking down the African manatee (Trichechus senegalensis) in this wildlife reserve of the Littoral region, located south-west of Cameroon. In 2012, he decided to start his own company, Ammco (African Marine Mammal Conservation Organization).
