In this role, you will work with 6 cities in Rwanda, Ethiopia, and South Africa to recommend and develop finance and funding strategies for urban water resilience projects in those geographic contexts. You will work closely with the Project Lead and city stakeholders to identify priority projects in each city and conduct the needed research to identify investment opportunities and financing strategies for 1-2 priority urban water initiatives in each city.
Forestry Officer (FAO-EU FLEGT)
The Forestry Officer reports to the Senior Forestry Officer and Team Leader, FAO-EU FLEGT Programme, under the overall supervision of the Director of the Forestry Policy and Resources Division and in close coordination with the Regional and Subregional Forestry Officers for the African region.
Identify, manage and implement initiatives that support increased stakeholder participation in strengthening forest governance and other FLEGT-related actions in countries eligible for Programme support.
Comprehensive technical and policy expertise to support the planning, development and implementation of departmental/division programmes, projects, products and services in accordance with Departmental/Division objectives and FAO’s Strategic Objectives.
