FOREST LEGALITY WEEK 2021 Monday, June 21 - Friday, June 25, 2021
We are pleased to announce that WRI will host a virtual version of Forest Legality Week from June 21-25, with the generous support and cooperation of the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
This year’s event will take place as an online event and will focus on a range of topics, including the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on timber supply chains and due diligence processes, in particular for small and medium enterprises; demand-side policies for forest and commodity supply chains; updates on recent developments in Vietnam, and new early warning systems and deforestation alerts.
As in past years, we are providing opportunities for other organizations to host side events as part of Forest Legality Week. In this year’s virtual format, event hosts will need to provide a link to a virtual meeting platform to host events. WRI would be happy to include these side events as part of the agenda for Forest Legality Week but cannot host those side meetings directly. If you are interested in organizing a virtual side event for Forest Legality Week, please contact us at email@example.com by June 12th.
