Background
The current mandate of the statutory staff of COMIFAC comes to an end on December 31, 2025. In accordance with its internal regulations, the organization is now launching the renewal process for several key positions. Within this context, the Executive Secretary is officially issuing a vacancy notice for the position of Administrative and Financial Director (DAF), a critical role for the efficient functioning of the institution.
Why is this position strategic?
The Administrative and Financial Director plays a central role in COMIFAC’s operational efficiency, budget management, internal governance, and administrative oversight. This individual also serves as a trusted partner to the Executive Secretary, ensuring rigor, transparency, and performance across administrative and financial services.
Key Responsibilities
As the Administrative and Financial Director, your main responsibilities will include:
- Defining strategies for administrative and financial management;
- Coordinating and overseeing all administrative services;
- Supervising the management of personnel, logistics, and material resources;
- Leading the preparation, execution, and monitoring of the budget;
- Conducting economic and financial studies of projects;
- Contributing to fundraising efforts and enhancing the performance of cooperation mechanisms.
Desired Profile
To apply for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a national of one of COMIFAC’s member countries;
- Be between 35 and 56 years old;
- Be of good moral character and enjoy full civil rights;
- Hold:
- either a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) degree,
- or a Master’s degree in Accounting, Management, or an equivalent field;
- Have proven experience in administrative and financial management;
- A solid understanding of the functioning of African intergovernmental organizations is a strong asset.
