Paris, 01 August 2024, The Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA) has officially joined the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP).

The Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA) has submitted the necessary documents and is committed to ensuring that its actions comply with the objectives and principles of the partnership, as set out in the CBFP member cooperation framework and the COMIFAC convergence plan.

As a leading institution in the field of African studies and natural history, the Royal Museum for Central Africa is keen to contribute its expertise and resources to conservation efforts in the Congo Basin region.

By collaborating with other stakeholders, the RMCA will strengthen its collective impact on the preservation of the region's biodiversity and sustainable development.

The Co-Facilitation of the French and Gabonese Republics of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership is pleased to welcome the Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA) as a new member of the CBFP.
