Registration for the International Colloquium on the Implementation of Pastoral Transhumance Policies, in connection with Protected Areas, Peace and Security, the Pastoral Economy and Sustainable Development in the Lake Chad Region

September 24–26, 2025 in N’Djamena (Chad).

The International Colloquium on Pastoral Transhumance will be held from September 24 to 26, 2025, in N’Djamena (Chad).

It will bring together the countries of the Lake Chad region (Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, and CAR) to address issues related to protected areas, peace and security, the pastoral economy, and sustainable development.

Organized as part of the ongoing efforts of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP), this event follows the 2019 N’Djamena Declaration and the meetings held in Douala, Kinshasa, Libreville, and Yaoundé.

Its objective is to consolidate achievements, strengthen regional cooperation, and promote the peaceful management of pastoral mobility, conservation, and peace in the Sahelian and Central African regions.

Participation costs (travel, accommodation, etc.) are the responsibility of the participant.

IMPORTANT RULES REGARDING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

1. Registration will open on Monday, August 25, 2025, and will close on September 08, 2025. No registration will be accepted after this deadline;;
2. Registration is mandatory for all participants of the Conference and side events, including those in charge of specific activities and parallel events;
3. Participation costs (travel, accommodation, etc.) are the responsibility of the participant;
4. Please ensure you use only the international alphabet (A to Z or a to z) when filling out the registration form;
5. You will receive an automatic email confirming that your application has been registered. If you do not receive this email immediately after registration, please check your spam folder. Please note that this email does not mean that your application has been accepted. Your participation in the International Colloquium on Pastoral Transhumance will only be confirmed after the registration period has expired;
6. Image rights – By registering for the International Colloquium on Pastoral Transhumance, you automatically authorize the CBFP co-facilitation and its partners to freely use documents containing your image, for conservation and distribution purposes, for any publication deemed appropriate, without limitation in space and time;
