From September 24 to 26, 2025, in N’Djamena (Chad)

The International Colloquium on Pastoral Transhumance will be held from September 24 to 26, 2025, in N’Djamena (Chad).
It will bring together the countries of the Lake Chad region (Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, and CAR) to address issues related to protected areas, peace and security, the pastoral economy, and sustainable development.
Organized as part of the ongoing efforts of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP), this meeting follows the 2019 N’Djamena Declaration and the gatherings held in Douala, Kinshasa, Libreville, and Yaoundé.
The objective is to consolidate achievements, strengthen regional cooperation, and promote the peaceful management of pastoral mobility, conservation, and peace in the Sahelian and Central African regions.
