Call for Partnership Research Projects between Congo and France

The One Forest Vision initiative (OFVi) is launching its first call for research projects in partnership between Congo and France. The projects are based on doctoral or post-doctoral fellowships for Congolese nationals, with the program due to start in September 2025.

The One Forest Vision initiative (OFVi) is launching a call for research projects within the framework of the Partnership for Forest, Nature and Climate in Congo (PFNC-Congo), in partnership with the Republic of Congo and France. The aim of this call for projects is to strengthen scientific knowledge and local capacity in tropical forest ecosystems.

Objectives and priority themes

Projects must contribute to the priorities of the PFNC-Congo and OFVi, and aim to achieve the following objectives:

Improving knowledge of tropical forest ecosystems (tropical forests, mangroves, peatlands and agroforestry systems, etc.)
Strengthening or developing scientific partnerships between the Congo and France (research projects must be submitted by a Congolese team and must involve at least one French team).
Building the scientific and technical capacities of young Congolese scientists (young scientists involved in the projects will take part in several training sessions).
