The World Wide Fund for Nature seeks a Country Director for its CAR Programme

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is seeking a Country Director to lead its Central African Republic (CAR) Programme, based in Bangui under a 2-year fixed-term contract.

The Country Director will be responsible for shaping and delivering WWF’s conservation and sustainability agenda nationally, regionally, and globally.

Key duties include leading the strategic development of the Country Office, ensuring operational and programmatic excellence across conservation, finance, HR, communications, and partnerships, and representing WWF CAR with stakeholders.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of leadership experience, including 3–5 years in CAR, a Master’s degree in a relevant field, and fluency in English and French (Sango is an asset). Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
