14–17 October 2025 in Kinshasa, DRC, submission deadline: 15 August 2025.
This symposium aims to assess, ten years after the adoption of the Paris Agreement, the implementation of its three main objectives in sub-Saharan Africa:
(i) keeping the increase in global temperature well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, while pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5°C;
(ii) enhancing adaptive capacity; and
(iii) making financial flows consistent with a pathway towards low greenhouse gas emissions and climate-resilient development.
These objectives must be achieved based on equity and the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities, in light of varying national circumstances.
Submitted papers should align with one of the symposium's seven priority themes or have a clear link to the implementation of the Paris Agreement in the Congo Basin.
Submission deadline: 15 August 2025
