Science-Policy Dialogue Serving the Critical Challenges of the Congo Basin
On July 9, 2025, in Libreville, as part of the PFBC Regional Conference on Environmental Crime and Human-Wildlife Conflict, the Réseau Francophone International en Conseil Scientifique (RFICS) and eBase Africa will co-host a day of training and dialogue between researchers and policymakers.
This initiative, supported by the PFBC Scientific College and its partners, aims to strengthen knowledge transfer based on evidence to inform public policies on the sustainable management of the Congo Basin forests and the fight against climate change.
The morning session will focus on the strategic communication of scientific data to decision-makers, while the afternoon will be dedicated to a confidential exchange on four key themes: human-wildlife conflicts, environmental crime, health impacts, and green finance.
By bringing together experts, public officials, and regional representatives, this meeting seeks to foster effective collaborations in support of sustainable and informed governance.
