Conference on Environmental Crime and Human-Wildlife Conflict

10–11 July 2025 | Libreville, Gabon

At the joint initiative of the French and Gabonese Republics, co-facilitators of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP), and in close collaboration with COMIFAC and ECCAS, the Conference on Environmental Crime and Human-Wildlife Conflict will be held in Libreville, Gabon, from Thursday 10 to Friday 11 July 2025. The event is financially supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and implemented by the French Development Agency (AFD) and Expertise France, with the backing of the Gabonese Republic.

The conference aims to bring together key stakeholders and networks from Central Africa and beyond. In parallel to the main event, several side meetings will take place on Wednesday 9 July 2025, including a meeting of the CBFP Governing Council, a session on the successor to the Congo Basin Pledge, a Science-Policy Dialogue Day, and a Civil Society Day.

Dedicated spaces for networking, learning, and knowledge sharing will also be provided. Side events and an exhibition center hosting around ten exhibitors are planned. A field visit will be organized to enhance the participants’ experience.
